Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, Tyler began his restaurant career at a young age before finding a true passion and love for cooking. It was more than the food that really captured his attention; it was seeing that food brought people and families together even when they were estranged. After spending time in several facets of the hospitality industry, Tyler chose to further his education by attending the esteemed Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, graduating in 2024. While attending school, Tyler worked the Michelin-rated Bramble & Hare restaurant in Boulder, CO before seeking a full time position as a Sous Chef here at Osteria Mattone. When he’s not in a professional kitchen, you can undoubtedly find Tyler in his home kitchen honing his culinary skills. He also loves spending time with his dog, Apollo, and with family.
